THE HONEST SHOP GUIDELINES – OPENING 10 NOVEMBER 2025 SELLING:

  1. Your item must be made locally by hand. No perishable goods please.

  2. The price must be less than £50

  3. The Museum will take a commission of 20 % to go towards the running costs of the museum.

  4. Each seller should choose a code which must be the same for all their items. Initials with a middle name are a good code.

  5. Please clearly label your item with the code and price. We cannot store items so please do not bring too many things at one time.

  6. In the black FORM FOR SELLERS file in the museum, write your name, address, email address, what you are selling and how many, the code and the price. Please also sign the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. This means that the museum will not be responsible for stolen or broken goods. The other side of the page is for us to fill in sales. Collect your cash from the Steward and sign for it on the back of your form.

  7. Accounts will be done once on the 22nd of December and again at the end of January. Cash will be left for you in an envelope on the 23rd December and the 1st of February with the Stewards. Please bring ID and sign to show that you have received your money. It is your responsibility to check if you have sold something.

  8. Please keep packaging to a minimum and recyclable wherever possible.
