Emma Craigie and Philip Lewis
Emma Craigie and Philippa Lewis introduce a book they are collaborating on concerning a book about the fascinating history of Bruton High Street.
Emma Craigie is a writer, teacher and broadcaster who lives locally and is obsessed with the history of this area. Her next book, ‘The Sound of the Sky’, a personal history of Pitcombe, comes out in spring 2027.
Philippa Lewis is particularly interested in the social history of architecture and domestic spaces as explored in two of her books ‘Everyman’s Castle’ and ‘Everything you can do in the Garden without Actually Gardening’.
