This illustrated talk and book launch, based on a wide range of primary sources and previously unseen maps and plans, tells the fascinating history of Bruton’s textile industries and transport systems in the period c.1650 to c.1850, and the emergence of the town as we know it today.
Dr Andrew Pickering is the Chairman of the Bruton Museum Society and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
